MEPs of the Economic and Monetary affairs committee travel to Washington D.C.

A delegation of MEPs of the Economic and Monetary Affairs committee will be in Washington D.C. between Monday and Wednesday.

The 8-strong delegation will meet key members of the House of Representatives, officials from the Treasury, the IMF, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Commodities and Futures Exchange Commission. The MEPs will also meet with think tanks and civil society.

The main conversations will orient around the global economic and geopolitical outlook, the US political agenda, and developments in the fields of banking and finance. The specific topic of digital assets will take a central role too.
